Job Description

General Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter conducts recruitment activities designed to market the organization to potential candidates, source best-in-class talent for job openings, and enable hiring managers to select and secure the right candidate for their needs. This role will support our Global G&A functions with a primary focus on the Finance Organization.

 

This is a 2 year contract. 

Remote eligible, but East Coast working hours are required. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute talent acquisition tactics to build a top-tier, qualified workforce and a strong candidate pipeline
  • Pre-screen candidates and deliver pre-qualified, diverse candidates for hiring manager's evaluation
  • Advise hiring managers on establishing appropriate roles for each member of the interview team; coach them as needed on technical, functional and behavioral interviewing models.
  • Partner with VP+ leaders on hiring strategies including market intelligence, talent assessment, and hiring trends
  • Grow existing network, foster new relationships and attend networking events to further identify talent for the organization
  • Collaborate with other Human Resources stakeholders to develop tactics for attracting talent that will help to sustain and contribute to the Vertex culture
  • Employ developed negotiating skills to close candidates
  • Provide weekly and ad-hoc updates to staffing team, hiring managers and business partners as needed
  • Effectively manage the recruitment process by balancing timelines and customer needs
  • May assist in the selection and management of qualified vendors, ensuring positive working relationships
  • May contribute to projects as part of the long-term strategy of building a best-in-class staffing organization
  • May guide and mentor less experienced staff to improve their skills

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and a proven track record of success in talent acquisition best practices, with focus on biotech/pharma specifically supporting G&A functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate complex issues and concepts to a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or the equivalent.
  • Typically requires 6 years recruiting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceitical industry is required. 

 

Pay Range

$70-$85/HR
