The ideal Finance Systems Manager candidate possesses a proven leadership background highlighting advanced technical acumen with strengths in report and application development, is precise, a self-starter, innovative, and is flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced collaborative or solitary environment.

Location:

This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid out of Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and guidance to team of Systems Analyst.

  • Use Power Automate, Power Apps, Blue Prism, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to optimize business processes and create automation between various business applications and ERPs

  • Conduct business analysis activities to gain understanding of Finance processes and innovate process improvement solutions

  • Develop, publish, and schedule interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements

  • Bring together multiple data tables from an Azure SQL DW (dedicated SQL pool) environment to create Power BI datasets and reporting

  • Use SQL and DAX to solve complex business questions and needs

  • Utilize Power BI as the catalyst for analytics and the understanding of trends

  • Lead and assist business users in improving efficiency in the way they approach, conduct, and report on their work

  • Provide customer support for RPA, and Power Platform and VBA applications and reports

  • Provide technical guidance to inexperienced developers

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of strong leadership experience over a technical team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience

  • Advanced skill, 4+ years of development experience in Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, or SS&C Blue Prism

  • Advanced to Intermediate skill, 2+ years of development experience in Oracle or Microsoft SQL

  • Advanced to Intermediate skill, 2+ years of development experience in Visual Basic for Applications

  • Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence experience preferred

  • Terminal emulation, command-line interface experience preferred

  • Finance acumen preferred

  • Team oriented with an ability to also work independently

  • Excellent professional written and oral communication skills

  • Heightened level of attention to detail, precision, and quality

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for issue resolution

  • Track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

  • Commitment to high standards, integrity and ethics

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$9,225.00 - $15,033.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
