Finance Director, Global Vaccines
The Director is a member of the Finance team providing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and strategic advisement to our Company's Human Health Marketing organization.
The Director is responsible for forecasting, budgeting, S&OP, life cycle management, financial evaluation, and business development activity for their business area. The director partners closely with cross functional teams, including commercial, research, manufacturing, legal, compliance and corporate teams to identify, evaluate and execute strategic opportunities.
The Director will develop a deep understanding of their business area and their strategic contribution to the broader Company enterprise. A successful candidate will have an intrinsic curiosity about the healthcare industry, a dedication to serving customers, a passion for learning, and an eagerness to collaborate in solving complex business challenges. The position requires an enterprise mindset, effective communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate across a broad network of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead FP&A activities, including financial functional support to external partnerships
Provide strategic and financial insight on key business decisions and new initiatives; develop, evaluate, and present business cases to senior leaders
Partner with commercial, manufacturing, research and finance colleagues across the enterprise to drive analytics that optimize capacity, pipeline and commercial investments
Lead a team of two finance professionals and build talent within the team, providing guidance and feedback to support team members’ development goals
This position is aligned to the HPV and Early Stage Vaccines commercial franchise.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience and Skills:
At least 5 years in a finance role providing direct support to internal business customers (e.g, Marketing, Manufacturing, Research).
Minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical, technology, marketing, or sales industries
Preferred Experience and Skills:
MBA, CPA or other Master’s/PhD in Business, Finance or Engineering
Strong compliance focus, financial acumen / modelling skills, analytical skills, and knowledge of finance systems and planning and reporting processes
Sound and balanced judgment, with the ability to assess and manage risk and quickly drive decisions
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance for evolving operating models
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build diverse peer and client relationships and influence outcomes (both vertically and horizontally)
Strong people management experience, building, managing and motivating teams in a challenging and complex environment
Passion and intellectual curiosity with respect to healthcare industry
Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$149,400.00 - $235,100.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. A summary of benefits is listed here.
