Nature and Scope

Finance, Business Management Intern position supports the corporate growth objectives of American Regent’s financial business unit. The position supports the Department’s efforts to facilitate the achievement of the organization’s current and future objectives, and financial targets. The Intern position is able to lead meetings, establishes and manages project tasks, creates and delivers presentations and reports recommendations to senior management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, confident, ambitious, creative and a team player.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support enhancements and improvements to the pipeline review process

  • Collect feedback and suggestions cross functionally on current financial and non-financial parameters for scoring value of pipeline products

Research and recommend external benchmarks to guide and judge progress on growth

  • Set up SurveyMonkey survey questions to send to peer organizations in the industry to establish external benchmarks

Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree with a focus in Finance, Business Management, Strategic Management, Sciences (Chemistry/Biology) or related fields.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to research, synthesize, and effectively communicate strategic industry, competitor, and financial information

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to work independently and balance multiple assignments

  • Ability to develop compelling and visually appealing presentations

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and valuation

  • Strong verbal and writing skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel (modeling & simulation), PowerPoint and Word

Expected Hourly Rate:

$20.00 - $22.00

The hourly rate displayed is the minimum and maximum hourly rate of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.  Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
