The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Federal Chief Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Set technical direction and establish, prioritize and work with the federal team, development team, and business teams to define and update the Government needs on complex systems and processes as well as oversee the technical direction of our government software solutions in the Federal environment
Participate on cross-functional teams, coordinate and communicate with Product Owners, Business Leaders, Developers and others
Being an evangelist and strong communicator of the architectural blueprints to mobilize the rest of the organization to build solutions that fit our customers’ needs
Performs other related tasks on an ad hoc basis in support of Solventum Federal Market Solutions with a growth mindset
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 10 yrs of experience in IT Systems including Networks, Operating Systems, Platforms, Automation, Storage, Database, Identity, and Data Protection
(5) years' experience in Cloud Architecting (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), and large-scale, high volume hosted applications
Knowledge of and experience working with various compliance frameworks and integrating them with platform level designs. (HIPAA, GDPR, StateRAMP, FedRAMP, etc.)
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Must be located in the U.S. and a U.S. citizen
Must be able to pass a government background check for a position of T5 Public Trust
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to simplify technical concepts and be able to explain to non-technical audiences while also explaining business direction to the technical teams in a way that inspires and guides them.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience briefing executive level personnel
Experience within DoD and VA health care environments with direct responsibility for project or program management activities
3+ years working as AWS Cloud Architect or Technical Lead
4+ years working with AWS Compute, Automation, and Serverless technologies
Experience collaboratively working with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
Work location: Remote
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
