Job Summary:
The Executive Director of Proposal Strategies coordinates with multiple key teams for all large-scale multi-services new business/rebids to find opportunities to collaborate for creative and winning proposals while implementing standard processes for the division. This position helps ensure key proposals are properly scoped - identifies risks, evaluates cost, and ensures text and response match requirements. This position helps in the development of industry benchmarks that support the companies’ proposals. This role is remote and may be based anywhere in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in bidder's conferences, customer site surveys, costing support, etc. Debriefs proposal and solution teams on observations and information gathered.
- Recommends and leads the management of proposal tool systems in collaboration with operations to ensure accurate services descriptions in alignment with operational practices and procedures; develops and maintains benchmarks.
- Assist with marketing needs as required including development of marketing materials, qualification submittals, presentations, and collaborate on writing new materials (past performance, corporate fact sheets, brochures, project literature, and presentations)
- Helps develop presentation materials for both internal and external needs and ensures consistency.
- Supports RFI and RFP questions regarding estimating, scope, and costing models.
- Evaluates key bid opportunities with senior management, sales, legal and corporate support staff to assist the process of preparing and submitting successful proposals.
- Participates and lead strategy sessions on assigned proposals to develop win themes, and other strategic approaches to developing a winning proposal.
- Development of Comprehensive and Innovative Facility Management Solutions and Pricing/Costing Strategies by leading all aspects of the preparation of large-scale proposals using company approved vendors and service providers to ensure accurate cost estimates on projects.
- Develops costs for labor, benefits, other direct costs, materials, and subcontracts once all the technical data is evaluated and formulated into the various plans. Applies appropriate markups and customizes the Proforma as required by the customer's RFP pricing template. Performs detailed financial analysis to quantify cost savings or other customer benefits. Assists in financial benchmarking and leads in the development of customer baselines and financial bridge analysis.
- May perform on-site data collection at customer facilities required to perform solution design, due diligence, or detailed development tasks. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of pricing and proposal management experience with large, multifaceted opportunities.
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise is required.
- Understanding of Integrated Facility Management and Facility Management structures.
- Understanding of industry benchmarks is key.
- Subcontract and Support Services experience preferred.
- Possess strong time management and prioritization skills, excellent attention to detail, and good judgment in decision-making.
- Travel - approximately 25%.
