The Opportunity:
CACI wants you to join us on the development of a customer data platform for the business systems of Military Sealift Command. With your skills, you will help integrate the data of multiple business systems that drive Military Sealift Command's organization, working with a dynamic set of stakeholders as part of an agile team. Through your development and integration, you will ensure the successful delivery of data needs are met using a cloud-first customer data platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of an integrated data model for the data domains of the business systems to include: Budgeting, Human Resources, Logistics, Maintenance and Repair, and Contracts.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Analyst staff to identify, define, and generate data structures based upon user requirements
  • Perform critical analysis of existing database systems to produce data models
  • Reverse engineering existing databases into models for analyst consumption
  • Support metadata collection efforts identifying and coordinating stewards to respond to data calls on data models stored within the platform.
  • Establish and maintain interfaces between DoD systems, maintaining Interconnection Agreements and data management plans
  • Design and develop ETL scripts utilizing AWS Glue/Skar, Lambda, EMR, and SageMaker; using Python
  • Develop data orchestration workflows using AWS Step Functions and AWS Glue to coordinate ETL scripts to mature, enrich, and expose existing data sets
  • Analyze the performance of and optimize Apache Spark job scripts
  • Analyze and Optimize AWS resources of the customer data platform and data lake.
  • Develop AWS deployments by programming the infrastructure using CDK and performed through a CICD pipeline
  • Perform code reviews as a member of an agile team for the development of Data Products


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelors of Science, focused in Computer Science or equivalent Bachelors focusing on data integration services
  • Security+, CSSLP, or other DCWF certification targeting the Data/AI or Software Engineering work roles.
  • 4-5 years experience in software development, at least 2 in Python and familarity with AWS CDK
  • 2-4 years experience in developing big data products leveraging Spark / Pyspark or equivalent distributed map-reduce solutions
  • 3-5 years Data Modeling experience using formal methods such as DoDAF, SysML, UML, or equivalent
  • 2-4 years experience in Data Warehousing or Data Lake design
  • 4+ years of applied experience using an RDBMS or other database technologies and SQL script development


Desired:

  • AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or Data Engineer associate
  • DAMA CDMP or EDM Council DCAM
  • CompTIA Data+ or equivalent certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
