What this job can offer you
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal impact in the global employment space joining our Employer of Record (EOR) Operations team as EOR Business Operations Manager.
As a dynamic, curious and energetic professional, you will support business operations initiatives related to process, tooling, procedure development and operational refinements for our EOR Operations Team. This role will work directly with Senior Business Operations Managers and internal stakeholders, to support important work that helps improve global operations for our EOR division.
What you bring
- You have at least 2-3 of experience in an Operations role at Remote (ideally EOR Operations), with demonstrable skills re: successfully improving business processes in a team, or across multiple teams.
- You love automating manual processes - and have specific instances of process improvements by way of automation, that have helped improve operational outcomes or customer experiences in your team
- You believe that something going wrong within Remote, either for internal team members or externally for our customers/employees, is an opportunity to improve
- You possess top-notch project management skills - with demonstrated abilities to successfully manage multiple projects at the same time
- You have experience prioritizing work based on criticality to your team, or manager's objectives
- You feel comfortable generating and engaging with reporting content via Remote tools (e.g. - Metabase, Retool, Zendesk, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, etc..) being able to review and assessments/recommendations based on that data quickly
- You are a manager of one
- You are passionate about accomplishing goals and ensuring quality
- You move quickly but with intention. You enjoy driving things forward with Intensity but still demonstrate a high degree of Care.
- You can adapt to new scenarios and challenges thrown your way quickly and can demonstrate how through previous work experiences
- You have a curious nature and love to explore and dig into new tasks, ideas
- You possess exceptional written communication skills and default to clear and transparent async correspondence with peers and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Design and continuously update basic process maps, workflows, standards operating procedures
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities that can benefit the overall team
- Increase effectiveness and provide greater value to Remote’s customers and employees, by supporting business operations projects.
- Manage basic special projects, from ideation to execution, including requirements-gathering, design, build, measurement, and iteration
- Support the EOR Business Operations team's reporting, compliance, and data integrity initiatives
- Work closely and effectively with Product, Engineering, Automation, International Operations, Legal, and Customer Success Remote teams to ensure scalability, accuracy, and data integrity
- Be able to go from “scout to scale” and start things up and get things done
- Be an internal and external champion of Remote's values and the EOR team’s goals.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is between $33,500 to $79,950 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
