Summary
Our Yelp IT Technicians provide world class customer support for our employees throughout North America and Europe. As an IT Technician, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver 5-star service for both our employees in-office and those working from home as Yelp is a remote first company.
You’ll be the local escalation point for office troubleshooting support for Mac and Windows desktops and laptops, mobile devices, printers, and video conferencing, as well as providing general assistance. You will be responsible for IT onboarding and exits of employees, training new Yelp employees, inventory management, and the maintenance and upkeep of the inventory workroom. Additionally, your duties will include equipment repairs, returns, corporate provisioning, onboarding support, and creating training materials. We’re a heavy Apple environment, so we’re looking for a teammate who can comfortably live and breathe supporting Apple products.
Please note that this opportunity is exclusively available physically in office and requires regular attendance in our office space (Monday-Friday). This role cannot be completed remotely. What you'll do:
- Respond to escalated tickets, provide solutions for reported customer problems, and prioritize and manage ticket queues.
- Support in-office walk-ups and the office IT environment, as well as remote assistance, while providing a great customer experience for our Yelpers.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and applications.
- Conduct monthly training sessions for our Sales team, covering essential tech skills such as laptop setup, Mac and Windows fundamentals (including taking screenshots), and connecting external monitors.
- Assist with cycle counts, purchasing, inventory management, monthly replenishment of IT equipment for local and remote employees, and coordination with 3rd party vendor fulfillment.
- Work with Workplace, People Operations, Recruiting and other IT teams to ensure 100% success on all new hires, transfers, and separations.
