The Role

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect who will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and overseeing the technology strategy that will enable Deckers Brands to achieve its long-term business objectives. This individual will play a central role in establishing a scalable and flexible enterprise architecture framework that aligns with our strategic goals. The Enterprise Architect will be a key player in fostering innovation, managing complexity, and ensuring seamless integration across multiple technology platforms.

As a strategic partner within the Technology team, you will work closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure that our technology investments support business needs, deliver measurable value, and adhere to best practices. Your work will directly impact Deckers Brands ability to innovate, adapt, and grow, making this a vital role in our technology transformation journey.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

Enterprise Architecture Design and Governance

  • Establish a robust enterprise architecture framework and Design Authority to manage architecture decisions and maintain alignment with business goals.
  • Define and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and governance models, ensuring effective compliance across technology solutions.
  • Drive the creation of architectural blueprints and roadmaps to support the organization’s digital transformation.

Strategic Alignment and Technology Roadmapping

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure technology initiatives align with corporate strategy and deliver tangible business value.
  • Create and manage technology roadmaps, ensuring that investments align with business priorities and architectural standards.
  • Lead initiatives for application rationalization, process optimization, and continuous improvement in enterprise solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Engagement

  • Act as a bridge between technology and business teams, promoting collaboration and aligning project goals with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Collaborate with platform owners, business leaders, and IT teams to define and meet technology requirements across departments.
  • Guide teams through change management, supporting adoption and scaling of new architecture practices.

Capability Development and Innovation

  • Conduct maturity assessments, identify gaps in technical and business capabilities, and recommend solutions to drive growth and alignment.
  • Introduce emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency, enable innovation, and support Decker's direct-to-consumer and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, sharing insights and recommendations with leadership to foster a forward-looking technology strategy.

We’d Love to Hear from People With:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless) architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, especially AWS, and familiarity with iPaaS and API management tools, preferably Boomi.
  • Expertise in application portfolio management, process optimization, and architectural best practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, AI, IoT, and advanced analytics is a plus.

$165,000 - $180,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
