Summary

The Enterprise Architect III is a senior-level position responsible for defining the enterprise-wide architecture strategy and driving digital transformation and technical innovation across the organization. The Enterprise Architect III is responsible for strategic vision, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. The incumbent will engage in long-term planning, future-proofing the organization's architecture, and will mentor architecture teams. This position requires a visionary leader who can navigate complex organizational needs and create innovative solutions that bridge business and technology.

Job Responsibilities:
 

Strategic Architecture Development

• Lead the development of an enterprise-wide architectural vision and long-term strategy, integrating cutting-edge technologies with business goals.
• Shape the digital transformation roadmap by identifying emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and aligning them with business strategies.
• Drive innovation by exploring advanced technologies such as AI/ML and recommending their adoption when beneficial.
• Influence and guide the senior and executive leadership on the implications of architecture decisions for long-term growth and scalability.

Technology Leadership

• Lead high-level architectural designs, ensuring all technology initiatives align with the overall enterprise architecture strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure IT initiatives align with the company’s strategic vision.
• Provide architectural oversight for complex and high-impact projects, working closely with senior technical teams to address architectural challenges.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to implement innovative and scalable solutions that support continuous improvement.

Enterprise Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish and enforce architecture standards, principles, and frameworks to ensure consistency and interoperability across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with risk management and security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as an active member of the governance board, managing architecture reviews and providing recommendations for major technology investments.
• Engage deeply with senior business stakeholders, ensuring the enterprise architecture aligns with evolving business needs and market dynamics.
• Build and manage relationships with key technology vendors, partners, and third-party service providers.
• Lead discussions on technology investments, articulating the value and risks of various technology choices to business and IT leaders.

Project Oversight & Mentorship

• Mentor and coach junior and senior architects, helping them develop strategic thinking and technical leadership capabilities.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the architecture team.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions, ensuring consistent and scalable architectural practices across teams.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.  Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of total experience in technology, at least 8 of which are as an enterprise architect, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in driving enterprise-wide digital transformation strategies.
• Proven experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and advanced cloud-native architectures.
• Extensive experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, and business modeling.
• Expertise in cloud architectures, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, data management, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience in leading and architecting digital transformation initiatives across complex, regulated industries.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships with executive leaders.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and future technology trends.
• Preferred:  Advanced certifications in TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Preferred:  Extensive experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
• Preferred:  Proven track record of influencing business and technology executives.

• Preferred: Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with a focus on policy administration or sales & marketing in industries such as insurance, healthcare, or financial services.
• Preferred: Strong understanding of business processes and workflows related to policy administration or sales & marketing.
• Preferred: Familiarity with software platforms that enable policy administration or sales & marketing.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

Base Salary Range:
