Okta’s Customer Identity Cloud (CIC) is an easy to implement, adaptable authentication and authorization platform. Basically, we make everyone’s login box awesome. If you are a problem solver who wants to make this login experience even better, then look no further - Okta CIC IAM Authentication domain is where you want to be. Our domain’s mission is to provide a simple, secure, standards-compliant, and delightful authentication experience for both end users and developers. We work with NodeJS, React, Postgres/MongoDB databases, and our services run on both AWS and Azure. Our technology radar continues to try, adopt, and re-visit various technologies and is a proponent of using the right tools for the job.
You will:

Lead and grow a healthy, inclusive, collaborative team rooted in the opportunities they create for customers.

Ensure each team member deepens their skills through coaching, training, and mentoring.

Work with product and design to build the roadmap for Embedded Login at Okta CIC. This involves talking to engineers, other teams, and various stakeholders within the company.

Review your team’s work to meet high-performance standards and as required work on relevant stories, tasks, and bugs from your team’s backlog.

Tie every piece of work back to the mission of making the internet safer and the business value of making it easier for companies to solve Auth.

Have the opportunity to gain a great understanding and context about how Okta CIC works and learn more about security protocols and how to build reliable, highly available systems.
You are a good fit if you:

Have experience leading a backend API development team.

Skilled at coaching teammates in all phases of their careers.

Hands-on who can help a team evaluate trade-offs during various SDLC phases.

Can add value to a conversation even when you are not familiar with the entire context.

Are a great communicator and communication facilitator.
Bonus points if you:

Experience working on cloud-native technologies with AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes.

Experience managing teams developing features that scale.

Experience with native app development, either managing or developing.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:$139,000—$209,000 CADWhat you can look forward to as an Full-Time Okta employee!
