Job Description

Under general supervision, the Analyst II is responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling basic and occasionally moderately complex CAT personal property or liability insurance claims. The individual reviews the insurance policy, reviews reports and photos, evaluates damages, determines loss coverage, negotiates and settles claims and authorizes payments.



The selected incumbent will be required to work within CST.



Hours for this role will be Monday-Friday between 7-7pm CST, with possible weekends and CAT hours. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes

• Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process

• Investigates, reviews, determines, and verifies basic and occasionally moderately complex coverage/policy information

• Reviews, evaluates, and submits potential underwriting referral actions

• Handles ALE (additional living expense) claims, as needed

• Handles contents inventories and basic and occasionally moderately complex pricing analysis and prepares claims reports

• Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices

• More advanced knowledge of all regional construction types and related repair methodologies

This position is not available for California, Alaska, Hawaii , Washington and Puerto Rico residents

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Beginning to apply knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation

• Beginning to apply knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement, and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards

• Beginning to apply knowledge of basic analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, and recognize patterns of data

• Beginning to apply knowledge of standardized problem-solving and preparation of basic reports for analysis

• Beginning to apply negotiation and/or arbitration skills

• Beginning to apply conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

• 0-2 years experience (Preferred)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Sign On Bonus:

  • You may be eligible for a $1000 Licensing Sign on Bonus if you have the applicable active licenses needed for this role.  This could include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.
    • **Candidates who have previously worked for and are seeking to be rehired at Allstate and its family of companies are not eligible for this sign-on bonus.

Notice of Licensing Requirement:

  • As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, you will be required to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire.
  • If required, the Hiring Manager will work with you along with the Centralized Licensing Team to ensure that you are properly licensed.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $40,000.00 - 66,227.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
