About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director/Senior Director of Total Rewards to lead the development and implementation of our comprehensive total rewards strategy. This role will ensure our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs are competitive, equitable, accurate and executed exceptionally well, and aligned with our company’s goals and values. Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global compensation practices, a passion for partnership and be a sought out partner across the business, and have a track record of successfully scaling total rewards in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a global total rewards strategy that supports our business objectives and enhances employee engagement and retention.
    • Ensure total rewards programs are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Measure efficacy and regularly iterate to ensure we’re exceeding the expectations of our employees. 
    • Thoughtfully lead and develop a team of 2, including a Manager of Total Rewards and a Senior Benefits Analyst. 
  2. Compensation:
    • Oversee the design and implementation of salary structures, incentive plans, equity programs, and executive compensation.
    • Conduct regular market analyses to ensure competitive positioning and internal equity.
    • Partner with People and Finance teams to develop and manage compensation budgets and forecasts.
    • Partner with RevOps and GTM on variable compensation and commission structure to ensure alignment with our overall philosophy and intentions. 
  3. Benefits:
    • Design and manage a comprehensive global benefits strategy, including health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. 
    • Evaluate and implement innovative benefits solutions that meet the diverse needs of a distributed workforce.
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international benefits regulations.
  4. Global Focus:
    • Understand and navigate the complexities of managing total rewards in different countries and regions.
    • Develop tailored solutions that address the unique needs of our international workforce.
    • Play an active role in identifying new hubs and establishing people operations that are strategic, responsible, nimble and values-aligned.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with leadership, People Team, and other stakeholders to effectively align total rewards programs with business strategy and operations.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on total rewards matters. Develop curriculum around total rewards to uplevel the understanding and application of all things compensation or benefits. 
  6. Data-Driven Decisions:
    • Utilize data analytics and benchmarking to inform and optimize total rewards strategies.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of total rewards programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in total rewards, including experience establishing and sustaining programs in EMEA and LATAM. We are growing significantly, globally, so expect the right person to have deep experience in a few regions that have scaled, and an ability to quickly learn and build to meet the needs of new countries and new workforces. 
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced, distributed-first, growing tech company. 
  • Strong knowledge of global compensation practices, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, as we are a heavy async [aka reading and writing] culture.
  • Deep program management expertise to enable high levels of collaboration across our company. 
  • Experience with HRIS (ADP) and compensation management systems (Aequim preferable).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $205k - $317k
    This range reflects where we expect to hire someone but does include both levels, Director and Senior Director. We are committed to finding the best person for this role and the offer we make will be within this band and commensurate with the experience.
