Position Overview:
The Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) will oversee and drive strategic initiatives across the Digital product portfolio, ensuring that all programs are executed effectively and align with the company’s objectives. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies. The role is hands-on, working on program management across organization.
What you will be doing:
-Strategic Leadership: You will develop and implement program management strategies that support the organization’s goals.
- Team Management: You will lead and mentor a team of technical program managers and project coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Program Oversight: You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will develop projects of varying size and complexity from inception to launch across various product and cross functional teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define program requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Risk Management: You will identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success. Collaborate closely with the engineering owners in deeply understanding dependencies among projects and ensure efficient delivery.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and report on progress to senior leadership.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance eHealth’s processes and tools for increased efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Spend ~70% of the time working hands-on on special projects as picked by the direct manager (Chief Digital Officer).
Who you are:
- You possess a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- You have 7+ years of experience in program or project management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- You have a proven track record of managing large-scale programs and driving organizational change.
- You have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and proficiency in project management software and tools
- You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- You have a strong ability to lead and inspire teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Proficiency in various project management tools – MS Office, Atlassian, etc.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
