Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, Talent Enablement Lead, we are looking for a seasoned HR professional to partner with Animal Health HR leadership teams on creating comprehensive talent strategies and optimizing the pull through and realization of talent solutions within divisions and markets. The Director, Talent Enablement Lead provides an opportunity for highly impactful work by playing a thought leadership and expert consulting role in addition to hands-on execution support across a broad talent management portfolio, supporting the Animal Health HR leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have a broad and complete understanding of Talent Management functions, including the tools and processes associated with career development, leadership development, succession planning, performance management, skills management, and diversity & inclusion. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a proven consultative approach, ability to navigate a matrixed operating model, solid organization skills, and business and data analytics acumen. This team member will be a close and trusted partner to the business, building a strong understanding of the dynamics of the Animal Health business in order to develop and execute a talent strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to designated HR leadership team, providing insights, recommendations, and practical solutions to respond to talent management & leadership development needs

  • Execution Support: Provide pull-through support to HR leadership team member for talent initiatives and requests from Talent center of excellence (COE) where appropriate (e.g., support for ET succession planning, talent nominations, enterprise critical roles, etc.)

  • Liaison: Serve as the connection between the various Talent COE leads and the HR leadership team to keep HRBP teams informed of talent priorities and roadmap and seek to understand needs of the business to inform strategic and operational talent interventions

  • Talent Analytics: Leverage data-driven insights to assess talent needs, identify solution gaps, and provide recommendations for talent development strategies

  • Customer Orientation: Consult with HRBP teams on design and development of new talent programs and initiatives as well as continuously seeking improvement of existing programs, processes, and services

  • Competitive Intelligence: Scan the external Animal Health industry for talent trends, best practices, and critical talent-related opportunities for our business.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with other HR divisional and regional teams to drive collaboration and achieve synergies in achieving talent management objectives

  • Integration: Partner closely with Animal Health HRBPs in architecting integrated growth pathways for strategic talent cohorts within a division, collaborating closely with other required HR functions to ensure effective solutions and a consistent, positive experience for talent in scope

  • Intake Management: Serve as the main point of contact for new demand related to skills management and support execution and sustainment as needed

Education:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of work experience in HR or related discipline, with HR Business Partner experience preferred

  • Initiating and maintaining relationships with partners within and outside immediate job function in consultative and collaborative style

  • Broad global perspective and the ability to lead with cultural sensitivity across a diverse, matrixed, global organization

  • Ability to negotiate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization through collaboration, consulting and building relationships with leaders 

  • Proven ability to drive results and catalyze new ideas approaches to improve outcomes for customers

  • Embrace practices to foster diversity, equity and inclusion across all aspects of daily work

  • Proficient in Talent Management tools and practices

Location:

  • Rahway, NJ with hybrid work model (3 days onsite)

Travel: Some travel required, up to 20%

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
