Global Real Estate Strategies is a strategic corporate function that serves our company’s global business units, including Manufacturing, Commercial, Technical Operations, Research and Development, and Corporate Units, by identifying and executing creative and innovative real estate and workplace solutions aligned with corporate strategy.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Planning to join our Global Real Estate Strategy leadership team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with executive leadership to understand and formulate the company's strategic master plan, guiding our organization towards its long-term vision and objectives. This position requires exceptional listening and interpersonal skills, along with a deep understanding of business maturity and strategy development. A background in consulting is preferred, as it will support your ability to analyze complex business challenges and drive strategic initiatives.

This role is based at our Headquarters in Rahway, NJ (USA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Master Plan Development: Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop, articulate, and implement the company’s strategic master plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Data Management and Analysis: Oversee the management and analysis of relevant datasets, identifying patterns and insights to inform strategic decision-making alongside the Associate Director.

  • Dashboard Development: Support the Real Estate Intelligence data team in creating and maintaining interactive dashboards that facilitate informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Market Analysis and Competitive Landscape: Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Facilitation of Strategic Planning Workshops: Lead and facilitate strategic planning workshops, utilizing advanced listening and communication skills to engage stakeholders and gather insights.

  • Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare and present reports and recommendations on strategic initiatives to the executive team and leadership teams of business groups.

  • Project Management Oversight: Provide oversight on project management efforts defined by the Associate Director, ensuring comprehensive project plans and timely updates to management.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation of Initiatives: Evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives and facilitate alignment by providing insights and adjustments as needed.

  • Executive-Level Communication: Prepare and present executive-level presentations that communicate project goals and outcomes clearly and persuasively, ensuring clarity and impact.

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to both the strategic planning and real estate strategic planning teams, fostering professional development and a high-performance culture.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in strategic planning and real estate strategy, applying this knowledge to enhance the company’s strategic framework.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering, planning, or a related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and management consulting, with a proven track record of success in driving strategic initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of business maturity frameworks and strategic planning processes.

  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Prior experience in a consulting role is a plus, demonstrating the ability to analyze complex problems and develop actionable strategies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and projects.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Management consulting experience.

  • Board/Executive level presentation.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$153,800.00 - $242,200.00
