Job Description:

The Director, Sales and Client Services position is responsible for the deployment of sales activities within the CUSO business territory and business growth through client acquisition for both our core products, as well as CareerEd. The Position will work closely with the VP, Sales and Client Services to achieve growth results for CareerEd, as well as our Referral Solution. This individual is responsible for engaging, developing, and deepening relationships with credit union organizations across our area of business.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Work to build and retain relationships with CU Leagues/State Associations and/or Corporate Credit Unions for the purpose of having those entities recommend the Student Choice referral and/or balance sheet options for credit unions in their states or organizations.
  • Work to manage our Referral Program and handling demonstrations and discussions with interested credit unions.
  • Help to generate qualified leads into the Strategic Partnership Team’s pipeline.
  • Manage the CareerEd Specialist.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of the student lending and credit union industries as well as the CUSO’s suite of products and services.
  • Collaborate with VP, Sales and Client Services on new client on-boarding.
  • Coordination with Implementation Team on collection of documentation necessary for Program set-up along with monitoring the implementation process to assure new clients are comfortable and conversant with Program execution and oversight.
  • Conduct prospective calling campaigns to source leads and generate new client activity.
  • Provide administrative and tracking support against Team activity and goals to Strategic Partnership Team as directed by the VP, Sales and Client Services
  • Represent Student Choice at industry events.
  • Contributes to team through effort, positive attitude, and willingness to go beyond requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or 5+ years’ experience in related field  
  • Credit Union and Student Lending experience preferred  
  • Excellent relationship skills to build collaborative partnerships
  • Customer focused 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-motivator with the ability to work autonomously
  • Organization and planning skills with ability to multi-task 
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving 
  • Formal presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Travel required – 40%
  • Strategic agility; ability to work with a large, complex, matrixed organization
  • Professional conduct becoming of management
  • Timely decision making
