How will you make a difference?
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Director of Product Management to help grow our Electronically Controlled Pneumatic (ECP) braking market. This role will oversee all of our ECP product portfolio for both our locomotive and rail car/wagon product offerings on a global scale.

What do we want to know about you?
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
Minimum of 10+ years of experience leading, managing, and growing electronic hardware system solutions or similar technologies
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in client-facing product management, technology, professional services, or sales role (e.g., on-premise, managed services, SaaS, etc.)
Willingness to travel up to 25% of your time both inside and outside to support customer discovery and product sessions
Ability to sell new technology and identify new opportunities based on product and industry trends and set commercialization strategies for tiered product and services offerings
Familiarity with product delivery, development, and deployment process flows and activities, with a demonstrated capacity for product conceptualization
Experience driving portfolio and investment decisions to balance customer needs, install base requirements, and long-term enterprise differentiation
Ability to progress concepts beyond current offerings and consider business model innovation
Capable of capturing the voice of the customer through established business rhythms and customer advisory boards
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
Desired experience in the following areas include: ECP technology, pneumatic braking systems and/or in the rail or transportation industry
What will your typical day look like?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing a multi-year vision and roadmap to establish our ECP solutions as market leaders.
Proactively engaging with customers to uncover unmet needs and help guide our product development as market requirements continue to evolve.
Pioneering go-to-market strategies tailored for launching disruptive new offerings.
Managing budgets and resources flexibly to allow for agile experimentation and rapid iteration as market feedback is obtained.
Managing forecast, running SIOP (Sales inventory and operations planning) and hosting cross-functional meetings supporting growth
Fostering an entrepreneurial culture that encourages calculated risk-taking, creativity, and nimble decision-making.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$117,900.00-$168,000.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
