As the Head of Payer Marketing, you will be at the forefront of this mission, leading strategies to drive member acquisition and engagement through strategic payer partnerships and direct to consumer marketing channels.
The Head of Payer Marketing is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to our VP of Customer Marketing, responsible for designing and executing marketing strategies that directly impact member acquisition and engagement. You will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance our value proposition for payers, build awareness, and deploy campaigns that drive enrollment and utilization of mental health services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive Strategy for Growth: Develop and lead a bold, growth-oriented payer marketing strategy that drives member acquisition and deepens engagement through payer partnerships and direct to consumer channels, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Build and Empower Teams: Build and inspire a high-performing payer marketing team and agency ecosystem, fostering innovation and delivering exceptional results in a sustainable, scalable manner.
- Measure Impact and ROI: Establish robust processes and systems to track campaign performance, measure ROI, and continuously optimize for better outcomes.
- Champion Our Value Proposition: Craft and amplify a compelling value proposition for payers, highlighting measurable outcomes, ROI, and our unique position as a leader in mental healthcare.
- Execute Impactful Campaigns: Design and implement innovative, multi-channel campaigns (digital, events, in-person) that effectively engage payers, members, and providers within payer networks.
- Deliver Actionable Messaging: Develop messaging frameworks that inspire action and resonate across diverse member audiences.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Clinical teams to ensure marketing strategies meet payer needs and reflect market dynamics. Work across the broader Marketing organization to align audience strategies.
- Activate Partnerships: Collaborate with payer account managers to execute partner-specific marketing initiatives and co-branded campaigns that drive measurable results.
- Leverage Data for Growth: Use insights and analytics to uncover opportunities, refine strategies, and accelerate growth.
- Lead in the Industry: Represent Spring Health at conferences and events, positioning the company as the premier mental health solution for payers and showcasing our thought leadership.
What success looks like in this role:
- Innovative Growth Strategy: Achieve year-over-year increases in member acquisition through payer partnerships and direct to consumer channels, consistently exceeding growth targets. Lead the creation of innovative, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive high conversion rates, effectively engaging and activating members through compelling messaging and strategic channels.
- Data-Driven Excellence: Build a culture of data-driven marketing by establishing dashboards and operational systems to measure and optimize the impact of marketing initiatives. Leverage actionable insights to continuously refine strategies and deliver tailored, high-impact solutions for specific audience needs.
- Exceptional Partner Collaboration: Foster strong, strategic relationships with payer partners by executing co-branded campaigns and initiatives that amplify awareness among their audiences and drive enrollment. Earn positive feedback from stakeholders by aligning marketing strategies with their goals and delivering measurable value.
- Scalable Team Leadership: Start as a solo leader and scale a high-performing payer marketing team as the business grows. Inspire collaboration, innovation, and excellence, resulting in high employee engagement, a strong team culture, and collective achievement of ambitious goals.
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on D2C, healthcare, payer partnerships, or member acquisition.
- Proven track record in driving measurable growth through B2B2C and D2C marketing strategies.
- Expertise in payer and member marketing, with strong understanding of payer dynamics and healthcare economics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and communication abilities.
- Results-driven, data-informed decision-maker.
- Passionate about mental health and healthcare innovation.
The target base salary range for this position is $173,110 - $216,390, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
