Director of Supply Chain

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and managing the Sky Zone's supply chain strategy to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive business goals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership: 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives. 

• Lead cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain operations and enhance efficiency. 

• Provide leadership and mentorship to supply chain staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 

Procurement and Vendor Management: 

• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost savings, and reliability. 

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with vendors. 

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards and policies. 

 Inventory and Warehouse Management: 

• Oversee inventory levels to meet production and sales requirements while minimizing costs. 

• Implement best practices in warehouse and inventory management to improve accuracy and reduce waste. 

• Develop systems to forecast demand and manage stock efficiently. 

Logistics and Distribution: 

• Coordinate logistics operations, including shipping, transportation, and distribution. 

• Optimize distribution networks to ensure timely delivery to customers and minimize transportation costs. 

• Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers. 

Data Analysis and Reporting: 

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. 

• Develop and present performance metrics and reports to senior management. 

• Utilize technology and automation to enhance supply chain visibility and decision-making. 

Risk Management and Compliance: 

• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory non-compliance. 

• Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, safety, and environmental standards. 

• Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain challenges. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 8–12 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 

• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, procurement practices, and logistics operations. 

• Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. 

• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills. 

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic business environments 

EDUCATION: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• This position requires the ability to remain stationary at a desk for extended periods of time while working on a computer, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

Compensation range is $125-$140k/yr  based on qualifications and experience.  Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching.  Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
