Bringing Home the Dough

Salary range - Up to $125,000 / year. DOE

 

The director of regional accounts is responsible for developing the customer strategy, growing revenue, distribution, market share, and profitability in the regional accounts within their market area. Must have experience managing multiple high volume customers, collaborating with the Flowers business units, and working closely with the Flowers DSD sales team in order to execute the strategy. Position is responsible for building and implementing the customer strategy to attain volume growth targets, achieve category goals, build market share, expand distribution, manage Trade Promotion Budgets, and increase profitability through more effective assortment, improved space and position, and effective promotional strategy and tactics. Additionally, the position is responsible for leading a small team of analysts who provide key decision-making tools that help to maximize business results and achieve volume and profit objectives within the directors regional accounts.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing the customer sales plan and strategy for the Regional Accounts.
• Responsible to build and implement our core strategies to attain volume growth targets, achieve category goals, manage trade promotion budgets, and increase profitability through effective assortment, improved space and position, and effective promotional strategy and tactics.
• Develop and manage customer relationships with respective buyers and key decision makers within these Regional Accounts, to ensure our business objectives are met.
• Partner with the BU’s and Marketing teams to understand trends and consumer preferences to maximize our sales potential.
• Ensure open and effective lines of communication and collaboration with the sales team, to ensure our customers’ promotional strategies are executed by Flowers’ sales reps and independent distributor partners.
• Lead, coach, and manage direct report(s), and set a positive work culture.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes – Oxley, Safety, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed to be an integral part of the position, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience of account management working with retail - VP’s and buyers 
  • 3-5 years' of sales leadership experience 
  • 8+ years’ experience working in CPG, DSD, Warehouse sales

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience required
