Job Description – Director of National Account Sales
Miller Environmental Group (MEG) is seeking a dynamic Director of National Account Sales professional covering all of the US territory to assist management with growing new account logos, and cultivating relationships with existing clients to gain more of their environmental spend. This individual will also assist customers with regulatory compliance interpretations and recommendations as well as contract review when necessary. Facilitate presentations for various size groups and submit weekly CRM reporting of activity to management. This position may report to one of our branch office locations, or be virtual if the successful candidate lives outside our company territory. This position answers up to the CCO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of National Account Sales include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Drive new sales into MEG helping our branches and National Solutions program obtain all its yearly revenue goals.
- 80% of your time will be solicitation of new business in all US markets covered by MEG.
- Travel within the continental US on a frequent basis based on customer’s needs.
- Represent National Accounts in corporate meetings and brief Senior Management on progress of the division.
- Work closely with Sales Account Managers, Branch Managers and our National Solutions leadership to ensure all yearly revenue budgets are exceeded.
- Assist Management in building and maintaining positive working relationships with subordinates, peers, and management to promote teamwork.
- Maintain and build upon existing client relationships for a given book of business that this position will oversee.
Qualification/Requirements:
- A minimum of ten years environmental sales experience with a focus on selling into large national chains.
- Excellent verbal and analytical skill
- Superior presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
- Excellent project and time management capabilities
- A creative individual who is also goal driven and detail oriented
- Exemplify consistent professionalism, good humor, and ethical behavior
- Ability to travel extensively when needed
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines
- Valid unrestricted drivers license
- Professional appearance
Education/Training/Experience:
- Experience in Sales, Industrial Health, Safety, Environmental, or equivalent experience
- Ten or more years experience in related field
- Must pass fit for duty physical, extensive drug and alcohol screening, and detailed background check
