Director of Feed Integrations

Remote

Garner's mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high quality and affordable care for all. By helping employers restructure their healthcare benefit to provide clear incentives and data-driven insights, we direct employees to higher quality and lower cost healthcare providers. The result is that patients get better health outcomes while doctors are rewarded for practicing well, not performing more procedures. We are backed by top-tier venture capital firms, are growing rapidly and looking to expand our team.

The Role:

Garner is looking for a Director to lead our Feed Integrations function. The Feed Integrations team implements and maintains the eligibility and claims data feeds that power Garner’s product. We integrate with health insurance carriers, benefits administrators, and other data providers using a range of techniques (e.g., SFTP, file mapping).

The Director of Feed Integrations will manage and build a team, design feed implementation and support workflows, and spearhead relationships with key external partners (e.g., carriers) and internal stakeholders (e.g., account management, product, and legal).

This is a mission-critical role—Feed Integrations handles data that is vital to Garner’s member experience. This position reports to Garner’s Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Feed Integrations team, including setting strategy, running operations, and managing and growing the team
  • Develop processes, documentation, and training to ensure timely and high-quality integrations
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members, ensuring continuous improvement through quality assurance programs and metrics-based management
  • Serve as a primary escalation point and solve complex issues leveraging subject matter expertise in technical integrations, healthcare data, and Garner’s internal tools
  • Spearhead relationships with key technical and business partners at carriers, TPAs, benefits administrators, and other data providers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., account management, product, and legal) to ensure high-quality integrations and proactive communication with clients
  • Track key performance metrics and provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 7+ years of experience in data integrations, client implementations, or related operations/program management roles in healthcare or benefits; 4+ years of building and leading operational teams
  • Expertise in healthcare data (e.g., eligibility and claims reporting files) and experience with data integrations and operations (e.g., EDI, SFTP, encryption, file mapping, error reporting, QA)
  • Proven ability to design strategies, implement initiatives, and track operational improvements (e.g., quality, efficiency)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to hold a team accountable and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills, with the ability to use relationships to achieve business objectives
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system

What We Look For at Garner:

  • Mission First: Our mission is to transform our healthcare system, delivering high quality and affordable care to all. Everything else is secondary.
  • Expect Extraordinary: Our mission is audacious, so we will only succeed by producing exceptional results. We continually push ourselves and each other to new heights and beyond our comfort zones.
  • Courageous Communication: Transparency and candor are imperative to realizing our potential as an organization and as individuals—even when uncomfortable. Many companies talk about these values. We live them.
  • Supportive community: We know that people do their best work and learn the most when they feel genuinely supported and cared for. It’s also more fun that way.

The target salary range for this position is: $170,000 - $190,000. This position is also bonus eligible. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
