Job Description

The Director of Executive Communications at Dynatrace will be responsible for shaping and leading our executive communications strategy. This role will involve creating and executing strategic thought leadership campaigns that enhance our brand reputation, elevate our executive reputation, and drive our business objectives across global markets. The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications professional with a strong understanding of the technology landscape and has exceptional storytelling skills, strong executive presence with multi-stakeholder management, experience managing executives across a global stage, and a proven track record in broader corporate communications including crisis communications, messaging strategy, corporate reputation and management. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to effectively convey the company's message and vision to key stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with the executive team to understand their communication needs and provide guidance and support in crafting their messaging. 
  • Write and edit compelling and impactful communications materials, including speeches, presentations, talking points, and other executive communications. 
  • Maintain a consistent and cohesive brand voice across all executive communications. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and news to identify opportunities for thought leadership and proactive communication. 
  • Act as a liaison between the executive team and other teams (PR, content, brand, events) to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging. 
  • Manage and coordinate media interviews and speaking engagements for the executive team. 
  • Monitor and analyze the impact of executive communications and provide recommendations for improvement. 
  • Train and coach executives on effective communication techniques and best practices. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, analysts, customers, and employees. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and ensure consistency across all communication channels. 
  • Stay updated on company news and developments to ensure accurate and timely 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 5+years of experience in corporate communications, preferably with a focus on executive communications.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis communication and corporate reputation management.
  • Proficiency in managing and coordinating executive media engagements and speaking events.
  • Proven track record in building and executing thought leadership campaigns.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools and analytics to measure communication impact.

Additional Information

DOE, annual salary of 180K - 200k CAD plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401k, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience, education and location.
