About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Director of Engineering focused on Data Analytics, Logistics, and Cost Optimization. This critical role in the organization will be responsible for leading one or more key areas of engineering. You will help drive and deliver on the technical strategy and roadmap to align with executive targets in key financial and business objectives.
CrowdStrike is growing rapidly and you will be instrumental in the hiring, retaining, and growth of our world class engineers.
What You'll Do:
You will work cross functionally with your peers in the engineering organization as well as leaders in product, finance, procurement, accounting, and legal. We are a remote first company so you must bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills when you are working with your engineering teams and cross functional teams across the globe. Some occasional travel may be required for meetings and events.
What You'll Need:
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience in data analytics, logistics, and cost optimization in both public cloud and private infrastructure
Demonstrated track record of leading, managing, and building a strong engineering team of both individual contributors and engineering managers
8+ years of experience in all phases of a software development lifecycle - responsible for delivering internal software utilized across the business to make informed decisions
5+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams through roadmap execution and user feedback driven prioritization
Experience with shipping high quality software in cloud environments
Experience with common major public cloud providers and cost optimization strategy (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
Solid design and problem solving skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance
Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills working with a variety of roles including engineering, product management, support and sales engineering
Demonstrated ability to attract and hire talent and grow the team rapidly
Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and code velocity and reliable uptime
Ability to build people, process, systems to report and trending, efficiency, and cost
Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to engineers
Broad general knowledge of the high-technology industry gained in larger enterprise software environments enhanced by ongoing awareness of R&D practices / technology advances
Bonus Points:
Experience with hybrid cloud environments
Exposure to/experience with cybersecurity and intelligence.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $190,000 - $290,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
