About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Director of Business Infrastructure & Governance – Commercial Card.
The Director of Business Infrastructure & Governance will play a critical leadership role in establishing the operational, financial, and strategic foundation of the Commercial Card business. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing key business routines, financial reviews, governance structures, sales forecasting models, and client onboarding optimization, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory adherence, and business growth.
This leader will partner closely with the sales teams to drive portfolio growth, maximize client value, and ensure alignment between business strategy and client engagement efforts. Additionally, this role will collaborate with sales, implementation, and service teams to streamline processes, improve the client experience, and accelerate onboarding timelines for new customers.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in business operations, financial management, pricing strategy, risk management, governance, and client onboarding within financial services. Acting as a key business partner, this leader will provide transparency, insights, and structure to the commercial card business, enabling informed decision-making and strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Infrastructure & Strategic Execution
- Develop and implement business management frameworks, routines, and key initiatives to drive operational effectiveness and strategic execution.
- Lead and manage Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and financial performance reviews to track progress against business goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify and execute initiatives that enhance business performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the sales teams to ensure strategic alignment between business goals and client engagement efforts.
Financial Reviews, Sales Forecasting & Performance Management
- Partner with finance team on the financial review process, ensuring accurate forecasting, expense management, and financial reporting for the commercial card business.
- Develop and refine sales forecasting models to enhance revenue planning, monitor sales pipeline trends, and drive data-informed business decisions.
- Partner with sales, finance, and strategy teams to align forecasts with market dynamics, customer demand, and revenue targets.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting structures to track business success and inform decision-making.
Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead the commercial card governance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management best practices.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and risk teams to maintain governance structures, manage risk assessments, and oversee policy execution.
- Drive alignment with internal controls, audit requirements, and enterprise risk management processes.
Process Optimization & Client Experience
- Partner with sales, implementation, and service teams to streamline processes, improve the client experience, and reduce onboarding timelines for new customers.
- Identify pain points and inefficiencies in the onboarding and implementation process and develop solutions to improve speed-to-market and overall customer satisfaction.
- Drive automation and digitization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and create a more seamless onboarding experience.
- Establish key metrics to track onboarding performance and continuously optimize the process based on client and internal feedback.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes
- Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency
- Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
- Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities
- Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, financial management, governance, or risk management within financial services.
- Strong understanding of commercial card products, pricing dynamics, financial performance management, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Proven experience in developing and managing business reviews, governance routines, and financial oversight for a large business unit.
- Ability to develop and implement sales forecasting models to drive revenue planning and business growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leveraging data to inform pricing decisions and business optimization.
- Experience working with regulatory and internal policy adherence in a highly governed financial environment.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, client engagement, account optimization, implementation, and service teams to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Experience with process automation and digital transformation to improve the client experience and onboarding efficiency.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00Benefits
