Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth within the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps market.

The successful candidate will lead long-term strategic campaigns to achieve growth objectives, focusing on targeted customers within the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. This role requires a deep understanding of defense budget line items, acquisition processes, key influencers, technology trends, and spending forecasts to identify, qualify, and capture specific opportunities. The ideal candidate will build and nurture critical relationships that significantly impact the long-term growth of Mission Technologies.

This position offers flexibility to work remotely or on a hybrid schedule. The role reports directly to the Mission Technologies Chief Growth Officer.
 

What you will do

• Develop and implement long-term strategic business development campaigns targeting U.S. Navy and Marine Corps customers, identifying opportunities aligned with Mission Technologies’ portfolio and growth strategy.
• Conduct thorough and well-informed opportunity assessments, including business case analysis and competitive positioning, based on customer needs and Mission Technologies’ portfolio and capabilities.
• Prepare and present qualification/interest and pursuit decision recommendations for review at the Mission Technologies executive level.
• Serve as the primary HII representative to assigned U.S. Navy and Marine Corps customers, gathering program intelligence and cultivating relationships with decision-makers and influencers through direct engagement and participation in industry events.
