Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth within the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force market.
The successful candidate will lead long-term strategic campaigns to achieve growth objectives, focusing on targeted customers within the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. This role requires a deep understanding of defense budget line items, acquisition processes, key influencers, technology trends, and spending forecasts to identify, qualify, and capture specific opportunities. The ideal candidate will build and nurture critical relationships that significantly impact the long-term growth of Mission Technologies.
This position offers flexibility to work remotely or on a hybrid schedule. The role reports directly to the Mission Technologies Chief Growth Officer.

What you will do
- Develop and implement long-term strategic business development campaigns targeting U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force customers, identifying opportunities aligned with Mission Technologiesā portfolio and growth strategy.
- Conduct thorough and well-informed opportunity assessments, including business case analysis and competitive positioning, based on customer needs and Mission Technologiesā portfolio and capabilities.
- Prepare and present qualification/interest and pursuit decision recommendations for review at the Mission Technologies executive level.
- Serve as the primary HII representative to assigned U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force customers, gathering program intelligence and cultivating relationships with decision-makers and influencers through direct engagement and participation in industry events.
