Job OverviewAn experienced Director of New Business + to lead the account team in business development from the day-to-day to strategic planning and implementation for set revenue goals. The Director helps our organization drive the development of new business plus marketing, two synergetic avenues to increase not only the bottom line but the MAS Brand. This person sits within the Account Team and partners with internal Creative and Production teams when necessary for business development and marketing initiatives. Serves as the central point of contact for prospective clients during the procurement process. Develops and executes yearly new business and marketing plans with monthly or weekly reviews with senior management.This candidate should have their pulse on what is happening in the event marketing industry and bring contacts and relationships at publications, awards programs and events for speaking engagements. This candidate will oversee MAS official social media accounts as well as all marketing verticals both internally and externally.You will work closely with the SVP of Accounts and Director of Strategy to develop, plan, and implement both business development initiatives and marketing strategy. This role will report to the SVP of Account Services.
Key Responsibilities New Business - Candidate is the day-to-day contact for prospective clients and manages all production and creative components of a business development project from start to finish.
- New Business Director will be responsible for advancing new business opportunities in all stages & forms (website outreach, cold calls/emails, networking, RFPs/RFIs etc.)
- New Business Director will lead account team efforts for new business with planned tactics and provides resources for implementation of those tactics across the department
- Director of New Business to provide budget estimates for events with support of New Business Coordinator
- Director of New Business manages team through all RFPS/business development
- Learn & live the MAS narrative for MAS clients
- Lead and initiate new business pitches/leads/brainstorms & help assemble teams to work on new business asks
- Bring prospective client relationships to MAS & hunt for new logos
- Bring problem-solving and troubleshooting issues across teams in a supportive manner, and be an active team member who contributes to the growth of the Company.

YOU SHOULD HAVE
- You should have a track record of securing new business and implementing successful new business strategies.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present important findings (both quantitative and analytical skills) and then apply to future projects.
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional writing skills, with an editorial point of view for what is right for a platform’s brand and voice.
- 5+ years in Experiential Events
- 7+ years of experience in new business development and marketing

Our rate ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual rate is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
