Job Summary
This position will be responsible for leading the managed markets regional account management team.
Job Description
This includes overseeing customer facing account management functions for all required payer channels and trade customers for OAPI market brands.
The position will report to the Senior Director, Regional Accounts Market Access and will manage a team of account managers, outsourced consultants, and/or third party service provides.
Direct and oversee the Customer Facing Account Management function across all required payer channels and trade customers in the region
Build and manage a highly effective team
Provide direction and ensure adherence to the Regional account strategic imperatives
Oversee the development of Account Plans across all payer channels
Ensure compliance with all OAPI policies and procedures
Create and oversee implementation of regional specific Annual Business Plans
Collaborate with Senior Director, Regional Accounts Market Access and other Senior Business Directors to optimize business performance and/or manage complex business risks and issues.
Represent OAPI to key Payer and Trade Industry Associations
Contribute to development of product and channel specific contract strategies
Direct Account Management CRM tool and process in collaboration with Sales Operations staff
Conduct all activities in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations and company policies.
Qualifications/ Required
Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
Minimum of five years of pharmaceutical Managed Markets Account Management experience
Leadership experience strongly preferred
Expertise in payer markets including understanding of all major payer segments, payer operations/financial drivers and budgets, formulary access management, coverage decision processes and utilization management.
Experience in neuroscience, oncology, hospital products and medical device products is preferred
Experience with pre-launch drugs and new product launches is preferred
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets and goals
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and in an environment of rapid change
Proficient in MS Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Access and Excel.
Five or more years of demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical commercial operations
Experience leading a team of direct reports as well as managing a network of outsourced consultants and third party service providers
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic contracting plans for key payer/customer segments.
Excellent written, organizational and verbal communication skills a must.
Flexible location – must have convenient access to an airport providing efficient and economical travel options to account locations in the Eastern/Western United States
