Director, Investor Relations

The Investor Relations (IR) team serves as the interface between our Company and the investment community, working regularly with executive management to communicate our Company’s key messages about strategy, performance and outlook in a consistent, credible and strategic manner while monitoring and sharing the views of the investment community to senior leaders.

This individual will be responsible for collaborating with the IR team in developing and executing the global investor relations program. This will include helping develop corporate messages, presentations and analyses in support of quarterly earnings, investor conferences, medical meetings and other investor engagements. This individual is expected to serve as a liaison for day-to-day inquiries from investors and sell-side analysts, and monitor and analyze trading data, industry trends, and peer company performance. To perform these activities, this individual will need to collaborate across multiple functional areas in the company to ensure alignment in messages for external audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensure investors and analysts have an accurate depiction of the company by effectively developing and communicating our Company messages about strategy, performance and outlook through written materials and in virtual and live engagements. This includes addressing questions from investors and analysts in a professional and compliant manner.

  • Work with the IR team in collaboration with others in the organization to:

    • Develop written materials, such as key messages and Q&A for use on quarterly earnings calls, investor conferences, medical meetings and other key investor engagements.

    • Develop appropriate strategies for analyst discussions in preparation for and in reaction to earnings releases and other significant events.

    • Understand potential changes to budgets and forecasts and proactively assess potential impact from IR perspective. 

    • Perform adhoc analysis as needed to ensure an understanding of key metrics and drivers for the Company and how these compare to sell-side and buy-side perceptions.

  • Ensure IR team is appropriately prepared to communicate key messages associated with medical conferences, data publications and other events of interest to investment community.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our Company’s products, pipeline, business, financials, competitors and financial markets to assist in representing our Company to investment community.

  • Batchelor's Degree

  • Superior ability to absorb, comprehend, interpret and synthesize large amounts of data and information.

  • Strong ability to think at enterprise level, anticipate events and resolve challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively present to large audiences.

  • Analytically minded with ability to comprehend and communicate detailed financial, product and scientific information.

  • Understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and determine valuation for its stock.

  • Understanding of and curiosity about global financial markets.

  • Aptitude for science and curiosity about research pipelines of our Company and peers.

  • Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced, oftentimes stressful and uncertain environment, with tight time deadlines.

  • Ability to effectively work within cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness and ability to travel (approximately 10-20%) and to work mostly in-office.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
