WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Salary: $130,000-$170,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
- Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
- Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2025, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
- Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2025, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2025 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead the investment accounting functions including but not limited to the monthly close process, investment analytics, journal entries and account reconciliation all with appropriate internal controls. Take full ownership of the process including potential systems enhancements, process improvements and business partnerships.
- Prepare comprehensive financial and analytical reports for stakeholders, including the board of directors.
- Mentor and develop staff members to enhance skill sets fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Work cross-functionally with business partners and other corporate functions such as Investment Management, Corporate Tax, Legal and others to ensure optimal accounting outcomes. Seeks out opportunities to provide an understanding of the investments and analytics of the business to their teams, peers and others across the company.
- Dedicated interest in keeping up to date with industry, accounting standards and client product changes.
- Effective communication, models collaboration and ability to form positive relationships with business partners.
- Prioritization of projects in alignment with strategic direction of the business.
- Manages relationships with examiners, auditors, and other outside regulatory parties, as required.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Strong knowledge of finance and/or accounting practices and procedures common to an investment accounting environment that can be applied broadly and used to set standards while meeting the needs of business partners. Expertise in use of GAAP and Statutory accounting in an investment accounting setting.
- Ability to establish deadlines within strategic direction of operation.
- Excellent communication skills, nonverbal, verbal, and written, with peers, senior management, business partners, the BOD and external parties including in times of conflict and negotiation.
- Thorough understanding and ability to establish practices and procedures common to a complex environment, including transactional processing and reporting of results to all levels from staff through the BOD and external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others in a direct and matrix team environment across the enterprise.
- Ability to work with and maintain secure and confidential information as well as escalate data breach if they occur.
- Self-driven with demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, influence change with peers, business partners, and the BOD/ external parties as required.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and judgment making abilities, establishing strategies to enable the team to resolve issues and set standards to be followed by matrix teams in problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently improve processes and create efficiencies across teams.

- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
PREFERRED:
- Advanced level degree or equivalent experience in Accounting related field.
- 10-15+ years of validated experience in investment accounting. Excellent knowledge of the business models of insurers, regulatory landscape, accounting constraints and local regulations.
- Designation specific to the Finance field, such as a CPA.
