Ibotta is seeking a Director, Client Partnerships, Data & Media to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.

The Ibotta data & media business is growing and we need you to accelerate the growth to the next level. In this role, you will be partnering with advertising agencies and media platforms that serve Consumer Packaged Goods companies. You will partner to create winning audience strategies that deliver high performing digital media programming. Successful client partners have a strong knowledge of the consumer goods market, digital advertising, and how to drive key client performance metrics.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States. Candidates living in New York City, NY or Chicago, IL may be eligible for remote work.

What you will be doing:

  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets through new business development and existing client expansion

  • Develop and implement account growth strategy on top client, agency, and platform accounts

  • Find and qualify new potential clients- advertising agencies, media platforms, and Consumer Goods advertisers

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations that educate prospective clients on the value proposition of the Ibotta audience product

  • Grow and ensure high retention of existing accounts through on-going collaboration 

  • Collaborate closely with other functional teams to ensure client partnerships are successfully executed from start to finish

  • Travel up to 40%

What we are looking for: 

  • 6-8 years of experience in a data driven sales role

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience in media, data and advertising ecosystems with proven track record of sales success in CPG and/or Retail verticals

  • Familiarity with the ad tech ecosystem – who the key players are, the platforms, the providers, and overall state of the industry

  • Proven ability to sell into high-level leadership at clients and their advertising agencies

  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures to identify and connect with the business owner/decision maker

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (candidates do a mock pitch as part of the hiring process)

  • Expert negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close the deal

  • Flexibility, accountability, resourcefulness, to work with little direction in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Ability to think and act like an entrepreneur, utilizing creativity and independent thinking to deliver value to your stakeholders

  • Great analytical skills: ability to measure the results of your work

Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals. Candidates living in New York City, NY may be eligible for remote work.

  • Total hiring compensation range: $162,000-$211,000. Equity is granted in addition to the overall compensation package. This range is inclusive of a base range and a variable bonus. Talk to your recruiter to learn more! This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
