Why this job is exciting

This role offers the opportunity to lead and mentor our team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Inside Sales professionals. This leader will be responsible for driving top-of-funnel growth, nurturing dormant accounts, and shaping the go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with our external sales teams. The role requires a forward-thinking professional who can align people, processes, and technologies to maximize market penetration and revenue growth in our Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security, and AI solution areas.


Who you are

You are a strategic leader with a proven ability to recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing teams, setting clear performance metrics and providing ongoing coaching. You excel in developing and executing business development strategies, optimizing sales processes, and leveraging technology to drive productivity and conversion rates. You oversee inside sales initiatives to re-engage dormant accounts and coordinate with account teams to deliver compelling upsell and cross-sell propositions. Additionally, you stay informed about industry trends and collaborate cross-functionally to shape value propositions and ensure seamless handoffs from lead generation to deal closure.


You know how to: 

  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of BDRs and Inside Sales representatives, ensuring they have the skills and resources to achieve and exceed their targets.
    • Set clear performance metrics, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify new customer segments, expand market share, and create sustainable pipelines of qualified leads.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to align outreach programs, campaigns, and messaging with corporate goals.
  • Process Optimization and Technology Enablement:
    • Implement best-practice sales methodologies, pipeline management processes, and CRM usage to ensure data-driven decision-making and efficient lead management.
    • Continuously refine sales processes and leverage sales automation tools to increase productivity and conversion rates.
  • Account Revitalization and Growth:
    • Oversee inside sales initiatives focused on re-engaging dormant or underutilized accounts, cultivating these relationships to uncover new opportunities.
    • Coordinate with account teams to deliver compelling upsell and cross-sell propositions that align with clients’ evolving technology needs.
  • Market Intelligence and Positioning:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive movements in Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security, and AI.
    • Translate market insights into actionable plans for BDR outreach efforts and inside sales nurturing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with external sales, marketing, and solution engineering teams to shape value propositions and ensure seamless handoffs from lead generation to deal closure.
    • Provide feedback on marketing campaigns, content, and tools needed by the BDR and Inside Sales teams to increase effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience: 7+ years in business development and inside sales roles within the technology sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security, and AI solutions, including value drivers and competitive landscapes.
  • Sales Acumen: Track record of developing high-performing teams, managing pipelines, and achieving revenue targets in a complex sales environment.
  • Leadership Attributes: Exceptional communication, coaching, and motivational abilities; comfortable leading change and improving processes at scale.
  • Tools and Technology: Proficiency in CRM systems, lead generation platforms, and inside sales technologies.


Pay and Benefits:   

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely.  

 

Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $100,000 - $125,000 annual base + Commissions, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.  Note the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
