The Business Development team at 1Password drives our growth by engaging with potential customers and leads. We’re dedicated to building high-performing teams that excel in outbound sales.
As a key leader reporting to the Head of Sales & Business Development, you will play a critical role in building and scaling a high-performance business development organization. You’ll be responsible for crafting and executing outbound strategies, surpassing pipeline targets, managing essential metrics, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving team success and significantly contributing to our company’s growth.
This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What you can expect:

  • Build, develop and execute the Business Development strategy, objectives, and roadmap.
  • Shape the structure and processes of the Business Development team to support strategic goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends to refine and enhance the Business Development strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external partners.
  • Oversee the team’s performance through metrics and reporting, driving productivity and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement scalable performance standards, processes, and tools.
  • Hire and mentor a diverse team, preparing successors and supporting career development.
  • Enhance sales processes and drive productivity through coaching and best practices.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience: 10+ years in sales or business development, with a minimum of 5 years in a second-line leadership role.
  • Proven Success: A track record of building and scaling outbound sales functions, leading high-performing teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic Insight: Deep understanding of outbound sales processes and business development strategies.
  • Operational Excellence: Extensive experience in creating scalable processes, cadences, and playbooks for outbound sales motions.
  • Talent Development: Proven ability to hire, develop, and promote top talent within a sales organization.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with sales tools like Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and ZoomInfo.
  • Energy & Enthusiasm: A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a hunter mindset.
