LOCATION: ANY USA

We are seeking a candidate with extensive expertise in managing and ensuring compliance with complex insurance laws and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) licensure requirements. This role involves understanding legal guidance, developing and implementing compliance programs across Life Insurance services and operations. This role will also be responsible for risk assessment and implementing controls to mitigate and monitor the risks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying regulatory risks, drafting and implementing policies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the organization’s compliance and legal standing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory gap assessment and implementation: Implement new risk and regulatory requirements by performing gap assessments, building roadmaps, and translating risk or regulatory requirements into business needs. Support clients with implementing and embedding of identified gaps, according to the roadmap.
  • Risk assessment: lead campaigns to identify and assess risks, propose mitigating actions and risk monitoring approaches, report results to entity’s senior management.
  • Internal Controlling: Improve the design of internal controls and monitor their effective implementation, using notably international standards and best market practices. 
  • Regulatory watch: update existing processes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations
  • Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures, including anti-fraud, AML, privacy, security, elder/vulnerable adult financial exploitation, and California-specific regulations.
  • Oversee and update compliance and training procedures for employees, new hires, and contractors to align with evolving regulations
  • Enhance and expand compliance services, including RCA processes
  • Lead projects and advise: Organize workshops with the client’s teams to identify pain points, conduct analysis and propose remediations.
  • Risk culture: Help to foster risk and compliance culture within an organization (workshops, awareness campaigns, trainings).

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Master’s degree in economic / law / finance
  • Strong interest in insurance 
  • Relevant experience (5 to 10 years) in a consulting role, or in Risk and Compliance position, within insurance services sector
  • Expertise and experience in specific regulations applicable to the relevant financial sector
  • Flexible mindset, with a creative approach and ability to think out-of-the-box and good stakeholder management experience
  • Process-minded, problem solving skilled, organized, with an eye for detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills, with capacity to summarize & prioritize the information to be reported to management

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $132,500 - $275,300.
