The Director, Ad Ops & Campaign Management is a key leadership role within our Ad Sales organization, responsible for overseeing the campaign management and trafficking staff to ensure best-in-class delivery and client experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of ad operations and campaign management.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Supervise and lead a team of campaign management and trafficking staff.
- Oversee the end-to-end process from order through delivery for addressable, direct response, D2, and digital direct campaigns.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize campaign performance and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Ad Sales, Planning, and Inventory & Yield teams.
- Manage and evaluate the need for outsourced campaign management support with vendors.
- Ensure equitable workload distribution across the ad operations team.
- Develop and maintain best practices for campaign management and trafficking.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead training initiatives to keep the team updated on industry trends and new technologies.
- Manage relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of new ad products and solutions.
- Own and manage all tags, pixels, 1x1s and ensure certification; manage all 1st/3rd p discrepancies.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in digital advertising operations or campaign management.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of digital advertising platforms, ad serving technologies, and industry standards.
- Strong knowledge of addressable TV, direct response, political, live sports, and digital direct campaigns.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, self-starter mentality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in ad operations tools and technologies (e.g., FreeWheel, Google Ad Manager).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Adaptability to changing technologies and industry trends.
