It is an exciting time to join our company's Immunology Team and our growing US Pharma Business Unit as we aspire to become the trusted leader in delivering novel solutions to transform the standard of care for Immune-Mediated Diseases.  The Immunology portfolio is a top corporate priority for our company and will be a key growth driver for the US Market and our company.

This role will advance the US Scientific and Key Opinion Leader Engagement Strategy for tulisokibart (MK-7240) in IBD; a phase 3 monoclonal antibody directed to a novel target, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-like cytokine 1A (TL1A), in ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD). 

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing our US Scientific Platform, unbranded campaigns, and congress participation.  You will work closely with cross-functional teams to lead and execute a best-in-class launch as the cornerstone of our company's Immunology pipeline, aiming to establish a leadership position in highly competitive markets. The candidate will lead, motivate, and inspire members of the CAT (Customer Agile Team) to drive results and deliver value aligned to the brand priorities. This high-profile role is designed to position the candidate for future leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scientific Strategy: Liase with medical affairs and global marketing teams to shape and define the US scientific strategy and priorities, and to ensure alignment and execution thru leadership of our CAT.

  • Congress Planning & Engagement Strategy: Develop scientific leader engagement strategy, coordinate thought leader engagements according to policy and develop and execute our overall congress and societies participation leading up to launch and post-launch to ensure awareness and education to IBD treaters. Identify National and Regional key KOLs across the US and also the local / regional key congresses.

  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing Customer Agile Team, comprised of experts in marketing, campaign design, development, and measurement to develop and execute comprehensive unbranded campaign to improve awareness and knowledge of our new Mechanism of action (TL1a).

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise including Medical Affairs, Outcomes Research, Global Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance to ensure coordination and consistency in strategy and execution

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the therapeutic category and clinical landscape

  • Represent US commercial perspective on V&I team, and Regional Medical Affairs Teams (RMAT), and Outcomes Research.

  • Partner with other Product Marketing Owners within the Immunology team to drive transparency, coordination, and prioritization across the team.

  • Oversee Budget: manage budget and spend across agencies, campaign development and execution while managing key AOR relationship

  • As a member of the US Pharma Immunology marketing team and cross-functional leadership team, partner with fellow colleagues to invest in each other’s development, build a culture of inclusivity, psychological safety, Transparency and stretch our collective team’s thinking by challenging the status quo for the purpose of creating stronger outcomes.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BA/BS). MBA or equivalent preferred

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience across marketing, sales, market access (or related experiences) in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, and at least 5 years of demonstrated in-line marketing experience.

  • Strong scientific/clinical acumen; ability to translate scientific/clinical data into marketing strategy

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and executive presence and emotional intelligence

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous or current immunology experience in a scientific and / or Key Opinion leader engagement capacity

  • Understanding of US commercial and regulatory requirements

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical brand marketing

  • Experience with US product launches

  • Familiarity with agile working model

Location: Upper Gwynedd, PA – Hybrid working model

Travel: ~25% of the time

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$187,000.00 - $294,400.00
