JOB OVERVIEW

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES

The Role:
Reporting to the VP and Chief Procurement Officer of the Enterprise, the Director of Procurement Strategy and Transformation will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of transformational initiatives across global TE operations, and procurement.  The Procurement Strategy leader will work closely with business unit/segment operations and strategy leaders as well as TEOA organizations to tackle strategic challenges to enable consistent performance to our customers as well as continued gross margin expansion.  An example of one such challenge is increasing Procurement performance, flexibility and responsiveness throughout the business cycle.  The individual who is successful in this role will be positioned to move into a regional/global leadership position within a TE business unit or other center led procurement roles. 

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Support development and implementation of global procurement strategies that align and support the long-term goals of the company
•    Drive a rhythm of accountability to execute strategic imperatives
•    Partner with Business Unit and Segment leaders to optimize TE procurement processes, footprint utilization including creation of cross business unit capacity sharing models
•    Work across the enterprise to enable achievement of long term sustainability goals
•    Identify and define best practices that create more flexible operating models and drive adoption systemically across TE through TEOA, center of excellence (COE), scorecards, etc.
•    Lead select initiatives to deliver extraordinary customer experiences, ECE, for business units and key stakeholders
•    Work cross functionally to develop and pilot working models to create supply chain flexibility.
•    Support Center led and BU procurement to define and standardize business process, systems and tools to increase flexibility and scale to improve cost to serve
•    Lead development of global procurement strategy presentations and communications
 

PROFILE

•    15+ years of broad manufacturing management experience in a best-in-class global manufacturing environment with a strong preference for multi-function supply chain  experience
•    Demonstrated ability to solve strategic problems that expand beyond operations (market differentiators, customer needs, commercial terms, logistics network, etc.)
•    Extensive experience with development and execution of business and/or manufacturing strategy in a large multi-site matrix organization
•    Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the commercial, operational and financial priorities of the business and align manufacturing strategy and initiatives on the areas of highest impact.
•    Managerial courage, gravitas and influencing skills to partner effectively.
•    Organizationally savvy, but not political, and can effectively navigate between Business Unit, Segment and Enterprise needs seamlessly.
•    Effective communication skills to translate strategy to action for broad employee groups within the business and across the enterprise.
•    Track record of driving and managing change in a dynamic environment and achieving results by setting high standards and holding people accountable for performance.
•    Proven experience leading and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
•    Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Business preferred

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $162,880 – 244,320 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
