Devops Engineer Lead

The Leidos Health and Civil Sector is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer Lead who will lead our group of System Administrators in maintaining and improving our software infrastructure. You'll collaborate with software engineers, and other IT pros in deploying, automating, and managing the software infrastructure. As the DevOps Lead you will also be responsible for managing the team that will be setting up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring programs, and cloud infrastructure. This position requires a season professional with a deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud technologies and a passion for fostering a collaborative and efficient development environment
Candidate MUST:
Be currently located in the United States for the current three consecutive years
US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Role will be primarily telecommute - must meet the above.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and manage team responsibilities of:
- Leading, mentoring, and guiding a team of Systems Administrators.
- Create and maintain monitoring systems to guarantee high availability and performance for software applications.
- Troubleshooting and resolve customer outages and issues
- Automating software deployment, configuration, and upkeep processes.
- Provide day to day operational support and perform systems administration tasks.
- Apply industry standards and best practices to ensure system and application security.
- Maintaining cloud services & applications on cloud platform installations and configurations.
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Review, interpret, analyze, and enhance code that supports day to day business needs.
- Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
Basic QualificationsÂ
- Bachelorâs degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in an operational environment responsible for the development, O&M, as well as client support of large-scale enterprise.
- A minimum of 6 yearsâ experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
- At least 6 years of experience as a Could Architect, or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles in cloud environments.
- A minimum of 3 yearsâ experience leading a team.
- Proven track record of coaching a team to success against evolving performance targets.
Additional Required Skills (At least 1 is Required)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer-Professional
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Google Cloud Professional: Cloud DevOps Engineer
