The Demand Generation Marketer will be part of the Digital and Design team. This team is responsible for the Octopus and Codefresh web properties, brand and design assets, and digital campaigns. We work closely with several agencies to support our SEO and paid advertising programs. We also work closely with the Developer Relations team at Octopus, helping to distribute content assets they produce through advertising and other channels.This is a hands-on role where you will be heavily involved in the tactical execution and optimization of the demand generation campaigns. You should be familiar with the DevOps industry and be comfortable targeting audiences around Continuous Delivery, Kubernetes, software delivery, and GitOps. You will be numbers-driven and responsible for telling the story of how our demand-generation activities relate to pipeline and eventual revenue generation.
To help our teams work together effectively, this remote position requires you to reside and be authorized to work in the United States.
What you'll do:
- Creating demand-generation campaign plans to support and reach the pipeline-generation goals of the Marketing and Revenue team.
- Building target audience criteria and account lists to target with our campaigns.
- Work closely with our advertising agency to execute campaign plans (primarily focusing on LinkedIn and Google Ads).
- Creating and presenting reports demonstrating the connection between demand generation and pipeline generation.
- Speaking with prospects, customers, and others in our target audience to help shape our campaign messaging and understand what resonates with them.
- Building and optimizing campaign landing pages.
- Work with our Developer Relations team to create thought leadership content and other assets that can be used in our Demand Gen campaigns.
- Explore further media options (podcasts, videos, etc.) that can help influence our target audience.
- Experiment with AI tools to support your work.
Your background:
- Experience marketing to audiences in the DevOps industry.
- 2-3 years experience in demand generation or a similar marketing role.
- Experience with LinkedIn ads, Google Ads, and other advertising platforms.
- Experience with analytics tools like Plausible, Google Analytics, and Looker Studio.
- Numbers-driven and focused on impacting business metrics versus vanity metrics.
- Experience working in a remote-first environment.
- Experience working with Storyblok, WordPress, or similar website CMS.
- Good project management skills and are an effective written and verbal communicator.
- A good track record of working closely with Revenue / Sales teams.
