What you will be doing

We seek a skilled and experienced Delivery Manager with a track record of shepherding new technology products from conceptualization to market introduction. Your robust project management skills, adept stakeholder engagement, and ability to juggle multiple projects while concentrating on strategic imperatives are paramount. As a credible leader, you excel in prioritization, communication, fostering accountability within a dynamic matrix environment.

This role manages the day-to-day direction and coordination of the project team, and reports on the project status to the project sponsor. The delivery manager integrates new business changes and ensures alignment of changes to any affected systems, if required. He/she also obtains organizational support and resources for the project. This position will provide consultative support to business partners on appropriate use and integration of data and the application of reporting to answer their business questions. The Delivery Manager will hold primary responsibility for all client engagements related to data, reporting and analytics, as well as the quality and accuracy of deliverables.

  • Manage the business intelligence, reporting and correspondence portfolio for one or more clients

  • Partner with Project Management Organization (PMO) on budgeting IT Hours: Understand the overall budget for client(s), and Inform PMO of hours spent on BI

  • Coordinate resources across all IT areas to ensure project delivery

  • Communicate, share and drive the business intelligence vision with each operational management team

  • Provide consistent, accurate and timely status reporting to internal customers.

  • Conduct regularly-scheduled account reviews to ensure clients are receiving the right data at the right time to support their business and philanthropic objectives.

  • Deliver reporting, ad hoc and strategic deliverables with recommendations and interpretation

  • Ensure adherence to BI processes and performance metrics

  • Facilitate meetings and presents reporting and data solutions to Operational counterparts and external clients, both prospective, new and existing

  • Recommend reporting process improvement opportunities

  • Negotiate and build consensus

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like 

Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor’s Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) to six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience; strong analytics or reporting experience.

  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management of multiple, complex client initiatives; including controlling the planning and implementation of Business Intelligence projects and demonstrated ability to establish and adhere to strict project timeframes.

  • Strong working knowledge in business matters, finance, planning, forecasting and personnel in order to manage team staff and business issues

  • Complete understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and its importance within the IT industry

  • Understanding of business intelligence (BI) design, development, theories, principles and practices

  • Understanding of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Proven written and oral communication skills and demonstrated effective customer liaison including effective leadership, co-ordination, presentation and influencing skills

  • Establishment and maintenance of clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and management

  • Negotiation and dispute resolution skills

  • Intermediate to expert experience with Microsoft Office including communication tools such as Outlook, SharePoint

  • Ability to foster and maintain strong trust relationships with IT colleagues, internal customers and external clients and customers

  • Strong ability to develop project briefs, business cases, project plans and proposals for work, including gathering requirements and making estimates of resources, time and cost.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute projects in a high-pressure environment

  • Ability to lead a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing and closing tasks of the project to produce the solution deliverable

  • Ability to manage projects in a high-pressure environment

  • Ability to establish and ensure adherence to strict project timeframes

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other computer components

$95,800 - 147,620

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
