The annual base salary for this position ranges from $119,400.00 in our lowest geographic market to $267,500.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

Who we are looking for:


We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Privacy Lead. They will be responsible for identifying and remediating out of compliant data within Nike’s operational and analytical data stores. This person will be expected to be a result driven, detail oriented, self-starter, exercising strong leadership working both independently and with project teams to understand, research, determine, document and communicate data privacy direction.

What will you work on:

  • Personal data identification within different solutions, systems, and data repositories

  • Metadata analysis for accuracy, consistency, and completeness

  • Identify data owners against active directory (AD)

  • Help define prioritization, execution, and analysis of BigID scan outputs

  • Use data visualization tools to communicate incremental progress to portfolio and leadership teams

  • Provide process recommendations via documentation to automate and operationalize analysis

  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned

Who will you work with:


You will be a part of our Data Enablement and Governance (DEG) team. You will be working in the privacy space, collaborating closely with the Privacy Program, Information Governance, Global Architecture, Enterprise Architecture & Developer Platforms (EADP) team, and other multi-functional partners.

What you bring:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

  • Expert problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Prior experience with governance and BI tools, such as Collibra, Informatica and BigID.

  • Prior experience with using BI tool (Tableau) for building dashboards.

  • Experience running SQL and using Python, R, or Excel preferred.

  • Experience working in multi-cloud environments e.g., Azure and AWS. For AWS primarily, EMR, S3, Redshift, Athena, etc. 

  • Understanding of Databricks preferred.

  • Experience with data warehouses/RDB like Snowflake, Redshift, etc.

  • 5+ years of data management, governance, quality, and data privacy.

  • Must be trustworthy in keeping sensitive data confidential.
