ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Data Engineer & AWS Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure while supporting data engineering initiatives. This role involves configuring and maintaining AWS services such as S3 for storage, EC2 for compute, and RDS for databases, ensuring a reliable and scalable cloud environment. You will also contribute to building and maintaining data pipelines, facilitating data integration, and ensuring data accessibility for analytics and business intelligence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Configure and manage AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, RDS) to support data storage, processing, and infrastructure needs.
Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.
Monitor AWS performance and troubleshoot infrastructure or data-related issues.
Implement cost optimization strategies to manage cloud resources efficiently.
Support data engineers and analysts by ensuring secure and efficient access to data.
Apply ETL techniques to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) and cloud administration best practices.
Understanding of data integration and ETL techniques.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and data processing.
Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting AWS environments.
Ability to optimize cloud costs and resource usage effectively.
