Data Engineer
Job Description
Understand business requirements and provide suitable software design. Design, implement and maintain production level data pipeline across various data sources. Prototype software solutions to prove out the technical feasibility and business value. Scale up prototypes (ETL/ML model/services) from end-to-end using relevant technologies. Test and monitor to ensure product quality to live up to the business SLA. Diagnose, debug, and fix existing workflows and applications, as well as research and learn new tools and frameworks. Perform technical documentation and deployment of production level machine learning applications. Utilize tools and technologies including but not limited to Big Data: Hadoop, Cloudera (CDH), Spark Hive, Impala, HBase, SQL, CDH and Python/Java.
Minimum Requirements
Requires bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and Information Technology or a related field and 4 years of experience in the Data Engineer position, as an Applications Developer, or related. Also requires the following: experience developing data pipelines; experience working in Big Data technologies Cloudera Hadoop, Apache Hive, and Apache Spark; and working on Java programming language, Unix shell scripting, and SQL.
Position reports to office in Centennial, CO. Position may work from home but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
We are offering a salary of $124,200 to $136,620 per year.
