ManTech is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Cyber Solution Developer in San Antonio, TX, or remote. This rewarding and challenging position supports the Department of Defense (DoD) to produce a wide range of capabilities to improve cyberspace operations and defend U.S. vital national security interests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform research and development (R&D) of a software system that uses automated vulnerability research (AVR) to perform multi-faceted code analysis to discover security vulnerabilities within binary files across multiple architectures
  • Apply automation, expert systems, knowledge management, pattern recognition, machine learning, and other autonomous methods and techniques with a focus on the following:
    • Automation of the vulnerability discovery within set(s) of binary files that span multiple architectures and come from a variety of sources and/or products
    • Capture the knowledge and insights of vulnerability researchers by using automation and data to apply characterization rules to identify security vulnerabilities
    • Suitability for weaponization of discovered vulnerabilities into operational code capable of delivering an effect
  • Design Application Programming Interface (API) workflows and develop APIs for secure intercommunication of technologies
  • Perform analysis of monolithic applications and system components and construct designs for modernizing and migrating applications and frontend/backend system code to a microservice-based architecture
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators to deploy containerized applications to a Kubernetes-based platform with AWS or similar cloud environment
  • Enhance the cybersecurity and the code security process of the CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps platform
  • Utilize new and continuously hardened containers from Iron Bank or similar repository
  • Develop various backend/automated processes for the automation of the container packaging and artifact storage
  • Take self-initiative to remain knowledgeable and practiced in emerging DevSecOps technologies and trends

Basic qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer architectures and assembly languages
  • Demonstrated experience with Python and scripting languages
  • Experience with Demonstrated experience with container, orchestration, container platform, and service mesh technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio
  • Experience with DevSecOps technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Helm, Nexus, Artifactory, Fortify, SonarQube, Twistlock, Grafana, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with source control and code repository tools.
  • Demonstrated experience developing solutions integrating and extending open source/GOTS/COTS applications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of compiler theory
  • Knowledge of operating system design and function
  • Kubernetes certification
  • Familiarity with DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design
