Cyber Security Intern - Summer 2025

The Opportunity:
CACI's Corporate Enterprise Services Cyber Security Team is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer Intern. As a member of the Cyber Security Team, you will work to create and maintain a DFARS compliant operating environment for CACI’s users by protecting network boundaries, designing and supporting hardened computer, network devices, cloud services, and provide security services to protect highly sensitive data for our endpoints, servers, and OT/IoT. The candidate will work directly with our Cyber Security team to support all major activities with a cyber security focus. Additional responsibilities include technical risk assessment, testing and validation of remediation for vulnerabilities, and compliance guidance for our networking environments. Candidate will support governance of appropriate policy and compliance technology to meet or exceed applicable government and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in protecting network boundaries and designing secure computer and network devices
- Learn about monitoring systems for attacks and intrusions
- Gain exposure to data aggregation and analysis techniques used to assess CACI's security posture
- Observe and participate in ensuring technologies follow industry best practices and compliance guidelines
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and practices
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems (especially Red Hat and Ubuntu)
- Interest in vulnerability management and risk assessment
- Basic programming skills (Python and Bash preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
Desired:
- Knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO)
- Interest in pursuing cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, Linux+)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
