Role Overview:

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing at New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (NYL GBS), this role will develop the marketing strategy in alignment with business goals and oversee a team of marketing professionals delivering employer and consumer campaigns to drive acquisition and retention. Collaborates closely with GBS and NYL matrix partners to deliver tools and assets across multiple channels and platforms resulting in a positive end-to-end marketing stakeholder experience (e.g. social media, email, direct mail, print/collateral, digital) with an emphasis on segmentation, targeting and scalability.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Develop and implement the NYL GBS marketing strategy and multi-year roadmap.
  • Maintain and manage a talented professional team responsible for employer and consumer campaign strategies and programs from innovation to execution.
  • Collaborate and partner with multiple matrix partners to inform strategy and programs as well as leverage and share best practices, prioritize deliverables, and align on value.
  • Create scale and optimize effectiveness through regular application of test and learn, research, ideation and performance analytics.
  • Apply critical thinking to problem solving and leverage performance analytics to identify themes, assess and enhance deliverables in alignment with goals and objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the NYL GBS client (employer), producer and customer (employee) needs, values and relationships.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to enhance the customer’s experience, build relationships beyond enrollment and claim, increase knowledge and brand visibility.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, brand and other key stakeholders to ensure our strategies and tactics are delivered in a manner that complies with all applicable regulations and NYL policies.
  • Understand competitive environment, including emerging solutions, and work to differentiate NYL GBS services and solutions, as well as identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Demonstrate company values, including teamwork and enterprise view, and drive a high-performance culture.

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business; MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years’ Group insurance (Life, Accident, Disability and Voluntary) related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to deliver an exceptional consumer/customer experience.
  • Experience leading, procurement and implementation of proven demand/lead generation  tools based on revenue generation and customer experience ratings.
  • Proven program and people management skills.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication (both oral and written), time management, organizational and planning and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical competencies; ability to sort collected data and disseminate and apply to or redirect approach.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, adept at solving problems proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, skilled at multitasking efficiently.
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic, team-based setting with rapidly changing conditions, demonstrating strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Exercises sound judgment to resolve complex issues, balancing priorities with business and corporate goals.

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $140,000-$170,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
