Role Summary:

The successful candidate will lead a team of individuals that review credential and re-credential files potentially posing a risk, as well as sanctions monitoring activities for Health Care Practitioners.  Provides direction and guidance regarding policies, procedures, workflows, file quality, and training needs.  Manages inventory and key measures and metrics to ensure business goals are met for Medical, Behavioral and Dental.

Responsibilities:

*Supports high quality service by supervising a team of 9 credentialing coordinators who work with complex business rules and compliance requirements
*Sets goals for team members to ensure department/company standards are met
*Responsible for Credentialing key service indicators

*Identifies and implements innovative improvements and best practices
*Acts as a subject matter expert
*Maintains a professional, positive work environment that promotes high performance
*Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to staff
*Analyzes and reports on metrics, identifying trends and opportunities

*Delivers meaningful coaching during 1:1’s and Check in conversations
*Administers performance management consistent with department and Cigna policies

*Maintains accurate working personnel files
*Fosters an environment conducive to employee satisfaction and lowering voluntary turnover
*Creates a high performance culture by appropriately assessing internal and external talent through the hiring process
*Contributes to the overall goal of improving the timeliness and quality of the provider Onboarding Experience

*Projects as assigned

*Actively participate in cross functional meetings with Matrix partners

Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required

*Management/Supervisory experience required
*Prior credentialing experience highly desirable

*Ability to change quickly

*Knowledge of NCQA accreditation standards preferred
* Proficient with MS Office products

*Excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize

*Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team
*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
*Strong analytical skills

*Able to deal with ambiguity


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 58,000 - 96,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
